10/27/06 China (CAA)Christians in Xinjiang Released -- CAA learns that all the 35 Christians arrested in a Bible training program held in Qilin mountain Villa, Urumqi city, Xinjiang Autonous Region have been released. They were released after 12 hours of interrogation.

10/27/06 India (Compass Direct News)Christians in India Beaten for Refusing to ‘Reconvert’ - Ostracized by their village for the past year, two converts of a church in Madhya Pradesh state’s Shahdol district have been beaten for their refusal to return to the Hindu fold.

10/30/06 Kenya (VOMC) Four Missionaries Arrested in Kenya for Incitement Against Muslims -- Four Christian missionaries have been charged with incitement to violence for distributing pamphlets considered anti-Muslim

10/30/06 Iraq (Assyrian News Association)14 Year Old Iraqi Christian Beheaded By Muslim Group -- A 14 year old Christian Assyrian was decapitated at his work place on October 21. Ayad Tariq was working a maintenance shift when a group of Muslim insurgents came to his work just after the beginning of his shift and asked him for his ID.

10/30/06 Eritrea (Compass Direct News)Eritrean Police Arrest 150 More Christians - In a large-scale roundup the past week, Eritrean authorities have detained 150 Christians from at least five of the country’s outlawed churches.

10/31/06 Sri Lanka (ICC)Buddhist Monks Threaten Pastor to Stop Holding Church Services

- While the congregation gathered for the Sunday morning service in Yakkala (Gampaha District), a group of about 50 persons with 4 Buddhist monks, inducing the chief incumbent of the village temple arrived at the Church. The chief monk and some of the others demanded that the worship service must be cancelled.

10/31/06 Indonesia (AsiaNews)Police names 15 terrorists involved in attacks in Poso and Palu -- In a rare move, police releases the names of those responsible for a spate of violence between 2001 and 2006, including the mastermind of last year’s triple murder of three female Christian students in Poso.

11/1/06 China (CAA)Church building demolished forcefully in Jilin, furniture inside destroyed -- CAA learns that a house church building in the campus of “Changchun Agricultural University”, Jilin province was demolished forcibly by the local government. It is known that the building served as the gathering place for Nongda house church when religious activities were held there.
