7/28/2006 Columbia (BosNewsLife) Colombia Mother Of Four "Murdered" For Evangelizing -- Christian rights group said it learned that the woman, who was only identified with her pseudonym Jenifer, was murdered because she had been leading insurgents to Christ, many of whom defected "from their illegal armed group."

7/28/2006 Somali (BBC News) Riots as Somali minister killed-- Riots have broken out in the Somali town of Baidoa after a minister in the transitional government was shot dead. Minister Abdallah Isaaq Deerow was killed outside a mosque in Baidoa, where the government is based.

7/29/2006 Uganda/Kenya (Open Doors) Prayers Urged for Muslim Background Believers in Uganda and Kenya - Open Doors has received reports of a series of attacks, from May to date, on Muslim Background Believers (MBBs) in Uganda and Kenya. This has really affected the emotional stability of the MBBs in these two countries.

8/1/2006 Iran (Assist News) Iran: Another Believer Arrested-- On 24 July, an Iranian Christian named Issa Motamadi was imprisoned on account of his faith. French internet news site VoxDei reports that Issa Motamadi, a resident of the north-western town of Resht, the capital of Gilan Province, will soon stand trial before a Revolutionary Tribunal.
