7/11/2006 Egypt (Reuters) Muslim Stopped From Attacking Christians In Egypt--Guards stopped a Muslim from carrying out a knife attack on Christians at a church in Egypt security sources said. Police arrested Mohammed Masoud Khalil after he was stopped by guards at the door of St. George's church in the southern Egyptian town of Qous, the sources said. Police said he was mentally ill.
7/11/2006 Germany (BosNewsLife) Germany Threatens To Deport Iranian Christian--German Christian news agency Idea said authorities want to expel former Muslim Reza Mamipourabri, who currently works as a Christian evangelist in Germany, perhaps as early as this month. He was already "detained and tortured" for several months in Iran, following his decision in 1995 to become a Christian.
7/11/2006 Pakistan (AsiaNews) Christian Kiln Workers Beaten--Three Christian brick kiln workers and their families were beaten because they refused to put up with their employers’ abuse; their experience is not unique though. Most of their fellow workers have been subjected to violence and abuses by Muslim kiln owners. For this reason, a Catholic NGO is fighting for their rights.
7/12/2006 Sri Lanka (ICC) House Church Attacked, Christians Excluded from Community Group--A mob attacked those living in the house which the Church had purchased in June 2006. Two young men (workers of the Church) were seriously injured. They were admitted to the Ratnapura hospital for treatment, with one requiring surgery.
